Sunset at The Watchman
The Watchman, Zion NP, Utah, USA.
Zion Canyon is a 24 km long, up to 800 metres deep canyon that runs along the north fork of the Virgin River. Discovered in late 1800s, mormons gave the place a biblical name as “great mountains are natural temples of God”.
Biblical names are present not only on the name of the canyon but also on the actual mountains. The Watchman standing 2000m high is one of the most recognized features of the National Park. This late autumn shot was taken shortly before sunset in October 2015.
