Goðafoss (waterfall of the gods), located less than a hours drive from Akureyri, is 12 meters high and over 30 meters wide waterfall in Northern Iceland. According to myth, local king threw his statues of Norse gods into waterfall after making Christianity official religion of Iceland in the year 1000. Taken August 2017.

Sunset at Seljalandsfoss

Seljalandsfoss is one of the best known waterfalls in Iceland. Located less than 2 hours drive from Reykjavik, this 65-meters-high and beautiful waterfall is a must visit. One can view waterfall from the front but best views can be seen when you take a slippery path leading behind the waterfall. Taken August 2017.

Blue Pool

Hnausapollur, also know as Bláhylur (Blue Pool) is a crater lake that formed and erupted about 11 000 years ago. It is located on Icelandic highlands at 570 meters above the sea level near to Fjallabak Nature Reserve road. Many people pass this lake daily on their way to the famous Landmannalagar (roughly translated as every man’s pool), popular hiking and camping destination just few hours drive away from Reykjavik. Unfortunately, not that many stop as ridge doesn't seem interesting from the valley bottom. Luckily we had extra time to stop and hike few hundred meters up the hill. This is a long exposure of 170 seconds. Even though wind was very strong at the ground level most of the 10 days I spent in Iceland it felt like clouds barely moved when taking long exposure photos.
